June 15 – Happy birthday to Alex Fourman!
The special song Sunday morning was a vocal solo by Norman Murray; the words of the song were written by Darrell Kirk.
Pastor Bob Thompson, Jr., preached about “Grace: the Teacher” from Titus 2:11. “The grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world.” Grace teaches resolution to live clearly, cleanly, with consecration. Grace teaches realization that we are to be Christians here and now.
Cinda Thompson led the scripture reading in unison. Dana Fourman operated the sound system in the absence of her husband who was in Ohio setting up live-streaming capabilities at the church his father pastors.
In the Sunday evening service, Jesse Paxton led the singing, and Delbert Murray led in prayer. Linda Ferguson sang a solo. Pastor Bob gave his 39th Bible study on the book of Ephesians. “Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might…put on the whole armor of God.” (Eph. 6:10-11)
Wednesday evening, testimonies were given by Jesse Paxton and Phyllis Arnold. Sheena Mahan led in prayer. Pastor Bob spoke on “The Unchanging Savior” from Hebrews 7:25. “He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”
