Trinity Lutheran – Richard Sturgeon

May 11 – As we continue to celebrate the fifty days of Easter, today’s gospel includes Jesus’  promise that he goes to prepare a place for his followers in his Father’s house. Our baptism commissions us to share Jesus’ mission in the world. As I Peter reminds us, we are a holy people, called to proclaim the one who called us out of darkness into light. In words and deeds we bear witness to the risen Christ — our way, our truth, our life.

Preparation for worship

God of nurturing love, thank you for the mother figures in my life: may I, too, share your love with all. Amen.

A warm welcome to all as we once again gather for worship, fellowship and Christian education. It is wonderful to be back together again.

Happy Anniversary to Pastor Wayne and Karen tomorrow.

We welcome and invite to our Lord’s Table all those baptized persons who truly believe that Christ is present in the elements of bread and wine. We offer both the small cup and the common cup. If you prefer the common cup, please refuse the small cup.

We appreciate Nancy Smith, for playing the piano today.
