Celebrating National FFA Week

Submitted Photo Each school year FFA chapters across the country celebrate National FFA Week, with the goal to highlight and share the importance of FFA and the impact it has on local youths. This school year, the national celebration runs February 22-29, consequently this week’s edition of the Douglas County Herald is highlighting the many accomplishments of Ava’s FFA chapter. The Ava FFA Chapter officers are shown above, from left, they are treasurer, Rebecca Evans; historian, Caden Prock; president, Layla Giorgianni; vice president, Samantha Lawson; secretary, Hannah Evans, and reporter, Lauren King. Officers not pictured are sentinel, Dylan King; second vice president, McKenzie Lawson; chaplain, Jordan McChesney; and assistant treasurer, Summer Schroeder. Next week the Herald will feature the Mansfield High School FFA, and highlight their achievements.
