Hoopcoming Week February 4 - 7 The Ava High School Student Council is hosting Hoopcoming 2020 next week, and for the occasion, a multi-day celebration is planned for February 4-7. The week long event will conclude with the crowning of a Hoopcoming King and Queen during the Friday, Feb. 7 basketball game against the Thayer Bobcats. The theme for this year is Making ‘Meme’ories, and throughout the four-day event, students will have the opportunity to participate in the following spirit day activities: Tuesday is Meme Day – Capture your favorite online trend in real life!; Wednesday is E-Boy – Embrace your inner angst in the eBoy & eGirl phenom; Thursday is VSCO girls – Sssk sssk Save the turtles and live that VSCO life; and Friday is Make your Memories – Blue & Gold Day! Due to the professional development day scheduled on Monday, Feb. 3, students will not be in school, therefore festivities start Tuesday, Feb. 4.
