Last Sunday when Monica and I got done at church, my son Mark Blakey called and wished me a Happy Mothers Day – this got left off from my news last week.
I took some eggs to the Court House ladies, then I stopped at John Bruffet’s, then took a birthday card and cake to KKOZ for Monica Corum so she could pick it up when she came to work that evening, dropped my news off, stopped at Jean’s Healthways for some medicine.
I washed 3 loads of clothes last Tuesday.
Ellis came by Wednesday after work and took some pea salad home with him. I made bread Thursday.
I went to town Friday to get some groceries, especially milk.
Sunday was a beautiful day to be in church. Bro. Charles message came from Judges 13:23-25, 14:4-6, 15:4-8, Ephesians 6:10-16 and others. His thought was “How to be strong.” Put on the whole armor of God and that will be your strength.
I went by Ruth Shumate’s and took her a birthday card and bread on my way to church.
After church, we had our business meeting. Those present were Bro. Charles Peak, Jewell Elliott, Kay Hutchison, Nina Carter, and Hellen Blakey.
Keep praying for our sick folks. they keep adding to my list.
My prayers and sympathy goes out to all who have lost a loved one. Keep praying for our nation, leaders, men and women in the service, and their families and the ones in training. Sunday morning I poured .5” of rain out of my rain gage.
