Geneva Heinlein

Ruby Geneva Heinlein, 87 years, 8 months, 21 days old, passed on to Heaven on September 17, 2018 at her home with all her family by her side.

Geneva was born December 27, 1930 in Champion, MO to Alfred and Lena (Rhoades) Coonts.

Geneva was retired from working at Tobin-Hamilton Shoe Factory in Mansfield, MO for over 30 years.  

In December of 1948 Geneva and “Buster” Shelton were united in marriage at Mtn. Home, AR and were blessed with two sons, Larry & Gary.  Later on Geneva and William Heinlein were united in marriage and were blessed with a son, Terry.  

Geneva was a Christian and attended church whenever she was able.

She loved cooking for her boys, family and friends. She also enjoyed working in her garden and keeping her house clean. Geneva looked forward to holidays and events when her family would be together!

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Willard, Burl, and Dan Coonts, one sister, Eva Stevens, a granddaughter, Shelly Fesler, and daughter-in-law, Norma Shelton.

Geneva is survived by her three sons, Larry Shelton, Gary Shelton & Sherry, and Terry Heinlein & Daryla, all of Ava, MO, six grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, three sisters, Nadine Crisp,   Corrine Bell, and Faye Pfister, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. 

Funeral services for Geneva will be Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday prior to service from 2:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Roberts.
