Mt. Tabor – Kay Hutchison

Many prayers have been answered for rain, and we are all enjoying the beautiful green yards and gardens. We have folks who continue on our prayer list, many unspoken and always for the bereaved and each other.

Brother Charles read Acts 4:13, plus other verses. His message was on “Compromise”.  We must never water down the Word of God, to get along or keep any group of people happy. Pastors have to preach what the Lord gives them, whether we like it or not.

Old Folk’s Day will be Sept.9, 2-4 p.m.

Ronnie and Pat Lansdown enjoyed having Jill home for a few days, last week. The group drove up to visit with Paul and have a meal with him. Later, they were in West Plains to visit Doug, Kristy, Jadon and Kayley Lansdown. The main attraction was the new puppy, which everyone enjoyed playing with. The Lansdowns took Jill to  fly back to her home, on Saturday.

Jewell Elliott attended the funeral service for her sister-in-law, Lorene Thurman, Friday.

Kay Hutchison visited John and Jo Stephens Saturday evening.

Kim and Danny Clements visited with Harold and Kay Hutchison, Monday morning.
