Mercy is Making Mammograms Convenient

Wellness on Tour Bus Stopping at Fordland Clinic

FORDLAND, Mo. (Aug. 14, 2018) – You don’t need to take a day off work or schedule a trip to get your annual mammogram. Mercy is bringing the technology to you!

On Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, the bus will be stopping at Fordland Clinic – 1059 Barton Drive, Fordland, Mo.

You do need to make an appointment to be seen on the bus, which is as easy as calling (417) 820-2790.

The mobile Wellness on Tour bus enables Mercy to serve more women, including those whose last mammogram was digital or those who have breast implants. Many patients on the bus have gone several years between screenings; however, screenings are recommended annually for women 40 and older because they’re the best tool for detecting breast cancer in its earliest, most treatable stage.

The Wellness on Tour bus is an outreach of the Mercy Breast Center, staffed by highly-qualified Mercy health professionals. The service is offered in 16 rural southwest Missouri communities.

Insurance is filed for the mammogram; please verify coverage with your provider. Remember, United Healthcare and many Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans are now in-network with Mercy.
