Ava High School held a back to school dance for students on Saturday, Aug. 18, and during the evening, several Douglas County deputies dropped by. Upon persistent requests from students, Corporal Wallace, Deputy Harley and Deputy Verheecke stepped out on the floor, and are shown above, dancing the Macarena. Sheriff Chris Degase says, “Being involved with community is a priority of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.”
