Our morning started with prayer. We then lifted our requests to the Lord. We sang songs of praise to our Lord and then Sister Linda taught the adult Sunday school class. Sister Misty taught the beginner class and Sister Susan taught the youth class.
Pastor Lonnie brought Gods message from Acts chapter 2, verses 38-42. “Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized..” Have we heard and gladly received Gods wonderful salvation? Are we filled with joy, knowing that our souls are eternally saved? If so, why don’t we show that joy? Why don’t we share it with others? When testimonies are asked for why does it suddenly get so quiet in the church? Is there nothing that God has done for you that you want to share? What about that moment that He saved your soul? Isn’t that something joyful to be shared? Think about when you first heard of our wonderful Saviour. Someone shared their joy of Gods salvation with you or you would have never heard. You would never have received. Share your testimony at all times. Never be afraid to let people hear what God has done for you. Give hope to those who think they have no hope. How will they hear if no one speaks?
We had our youth service tonight. The beginner class was well prepared with scriptures and a song. The youth class was not so well prepared. But learned a valuable lesson. “Be instant in season and out of season” They sang many wonderful songs and conducted a good service, even including Brother Byron to help sing with them. It was a blessed service. Afterward we had a time of fellowship and snacks.
