Ava Runners Place Third In Cross Country Meet at Willow Springs
Ava cross country attended the Willow Springs Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 7.
Both the boys and girls teams ran in the varsity Class 3/4 Division races. Both teams placed third behind West Plains and Marshfield respectively.
It was a 3.1 mile race held at the Willow Springs Municipal Golf Course.
Two Ava boys earned medals, Collin Jenkins placing 10th and Jacob Key in 12th place.
Three girls earned medals. Eden Little placed 9th, Layla Giorgianni in 14th, and Emily Stillings in 15th.
Ava’s junior high runners also attended this meet and their results are listed below.
The junior high was Class 1-4 in one race, and it was a 1.5 mile race.
Ava ran at College of the Ozarks on Saturday and has the Hollister Invitational today (Sept. 14).
