Taneycomo Cleanup Day Is Sept. 16

Join Ozarks Water Watch for the 8th Annual Taneycomo Lake Clean-up and help keep this water resource clean and beautiful.
Cleanup supplies and dumpsters will be provided at three locations.  If you have a favorite pair of work gloves, please bring them but gloves and trash bags will be provided. All volunteers receive a free t-shirt and lunch for helping. Registration is required.
Lake Taneycomo has very little walkable shoreline so boats are needed to help clean up the shoreline. If you have a boat to use, that would be helpful, and we can provide helper(s), if needed. Tarps to help keep your boat clean will be available at each launch site. Lilleys’ Landing, Kanakuk Kamps, Scotty’s Trout Dock & Marina and Fall Creek Marina will also be providing motor boats for use. Let us know if you are an experienced boater and would like to drive a boat.
Several canoes and kayaks will be available for experienced paddlers.
Cleanup starts at 9:00 a.m.   Call 417-739-5001 or register on our website www.ozarkswaterwatch.org and join us at one of three locations:  Branson Lakeside RV Campground, Rockaway Beach Park or Empire Park at Forsyth.
Teams will work their way downstream and upstream, then return to start locations for lunch at 12:30. Remember to dress for the task, and if you have one, bring an old dip-net or a trash-grabber (we’ll have some available).
The Taneycomo Lake Cleanup is coordinated by Ozarks Water Watch, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving and maintaining water quality in the Ozarks.
