Laura Ingalls Wilder Program Coming to Library

Marie Bristol will present “150 Years of Laura Ingalls Wilder” on Thursday, Aug. 24, at the Douglas County Public Library. The program will be held at 7 p.m.
Laura Ingalls Wilder is well-known for her Little House on the Prairie series of books released from 1932 to 1943 about her childhood in a settler and pioneer family. Wilder was born Feb. 7, 1867 and 2017 marks the 150th anniversary of her birth.
Admission to this and other library programs is free. The Douglas County Public Library is located at 301 Webster Avenue in Ava. For more information call 683-5633.
