Inmates Start Jail Fire
July 20, 2017
Douglas County inmates were lined up in the alley outside the jail Saturday morning after prisoners started a fire in the ventillation system. No one was hurt and little damage was done to the jail, but the thick smoke made it necessary to evacuate the jail. The prisoners were taken to nearby jails until the cleanup could be completed.
