Etched Glass Program Coming to Library; Dog Show Tonight

Elizabeth Brown will present a program on etched glass at the Douglas County Public Library on Thursday, July 20, at 7p.m. This will be a hands-on program for adults. Supplies will be provided, but bring an X-Acto craft knife if you have one. Elizabeth is a member of the Best of Missouri Hands organization and the Ava Art Guild. She works in pottery, watercolor, batik, stained glass, weaving, and pen and ink. Glass, however, remains her favorite media. In 1994, she opened Eliz Arts on the southwest corner of the Ava square. Also, the Trick Dog Show is this (Thursday) evening, July 13, at 7 p.m. Seating is limited. Admission is free. The library is located at 301 Webster Ave. (previously SW 3rd) in Ava.
