Manufacturing Day Proclaimed

Representatives of Emerson/Copeland Scroll Compressors were invited to Ava City Hall last Friday morning in recognition of National Manufacturing Day. Mayor David Norman issued a proclamation on their behalf, and coffee and donuts were served to representatives of Copeland, the Chamber of Commerce, and others who gathered for the occasion. Pictured above are some of those who attended. All are members of the Copeland team unless otherwise noted. In the proclamation, the mayor noted that the Copeland manufacturing facility involves about 395,000 square feet and has around 600 employees. Since 1997 they have produced over 55 million scroll sets.
