Another wonderful day of worship began with our pledges, Amazing Grace, and singing some beautiful songs. We have many to pray for, as always, as well as our nation in turmoil. Pray for those hurting and families with special needs. We must remember to always be thankful for God’s goodness.
We were blessed to have Sister Ruby’s sister, Billie and her daughter, June, in our service.
It is such fun to watch our little girls pass their cups for the Penny March for Camp Piland. Cadence was Brother Raymond’s helper this week, also. Brother Raymond read Acts 20:28, telling how those folks, as well as us, were purchased by the blood of Jesus. The song says, we are redeemed by the precious blood of the Lamb. His thought Sunday evening came from Acts 15, which says God wants us to abound (have plenty) in hope.
Senior Camp at Piland Youth Camp will begin Sunday, July 17-20, with check-in at 5:00 p.m. There will be hamburgers and hot dogs followed by a singing group and church service with Brother Randy Dalton, evangelist, at 6:00. Sister Linda Hannaford will be director, 543-3359, for information.
Ronnie and Pat Lansdown visited Friday afternoon in Mansfield, with her brother, Paul Cox. Later in the afternoon they drove on to West Plains to visit Mr. and Mrs. Doug Lansdown, Jadon and Kayley.
Jewell Elliott accompanied Shaun and LeAnna Elliott and children, to Kansas City, to spend the weekend with Floyd and Bonita Winingham.
Danny Clements had outpatient surgery, last Thursday, and is getting along very well. Harold and Kay Hutchison spent the day at the hospital with Kim.
Jewell Elliott visited Monday with Raymond and Naida Haden.
Jeff and Kristy Tackett joined Harold and Kay Hutchison for lunch Sunday, on their way home from a week camping at Oakland.
