I went to my O.E.S. meeting last Monday. We elected new offiers for the coming year. Mary Martha Williams will be our worthy matron and Tom Williams will be our worthy patron.
George and Violet came by last Tuesday and picked up their eggs then I took my news and eggs to Kay and to Donna and Kelli. I stopped at Town and Country and got me a box of their bacon.
Wednesday I started cracking some walnuts.
Thursday on my way out of town, I stopped by Martin Hathcock’s and dropped off a loaf of bread and a jar of apple butter then I went to Ozark to my doctor appointment, but went by Vernal and Ellen’s. Vernal and Ellen have a new little Fox Terrier puppy, which he got at Gentry the night before. My doctor appointment was good. My sugar was down.
I took eggs to Darlene early Friday morning then when I got home, I went by Shirley Riley’s and borrowed her apple picker. My niece, Cathy Cornett, took me down to a friend of hers and we got me some apples to make apple butter. I sure appreciate Cathy because she used the pole and got all the apples down. The apples were better than the ones I got up at Seymour. I started peeling the apples and they were nice to peel.
Saturday morning while my two crock pots were still cooking, Kay came by with me some green beans. I took Shirley her pole back and a few apples. I went by Steve Duckworth’s and gave his mother, Bea, a birthday card and a gift then I went to town and got more fruit jars.
Friday evening, Nina stopped and picked me up then we picked up Glynda and granddaughter and we headed for Ozark to the Stained Glass Theatre, where we met Brenda, Judy, Marsha and Carol and got to see Vanity and Valor. It was another good play and it goes until Oct. 17.
Sunday, Bro. Raymond’s message was about The Words of the Word from I John, chapter one. His night message was Better Revelation from Hebrew, starting in chapter 11 and then others.
I talked with Bonnie and she said Debbie Cederlind came down Friday evening and Michael Freeman brought his daughter, Alexis, to stay with one of her old girlfriends overnight then she came back over to Bonnie’s Saturday and Debbie and Bonnie took Alexis back home to West Plains. Michael cooked hamburgers outside for all before Debbie and Bonnie came back to Ava. Cecilia came over and visited with Debbie. Courtnie Vigessa, Wylie, Weslie and Wayden came down Sunday to Bonnie’s and stayed all day before going back home. Cecilia Edwards and Jeff Denney came that evening and visited with Bonnie.
Let’s keep our sick folks in our prayers. My prayers and sympathy go out to all who have lost a loved one.
Keep our nation, leaders, men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training in your prayers.
