It was a very good day to be in God’s house, with singing, prayers and worship. We had a very interesting Sunday school lesson, a good lesson for all of us.
Brother Raymond used 2 Chron. 7:14 as his message, which is familiar to us all. The verse begins, If my people, which are called by my name. It is a very powerful verse, with great meaning. He titled his message, God’s To Do List.
In the evening service he read from Hebrews, speaking about His people being the Apple Of His Eye, what a wonderful thought.
Brother Martin Hathcock continues to have some health problems, and has spent a few days with Ronda and family in Nixa. He and Ronda and Jim were at the cemetery, Monday.
Visitors of Jewell Elliott this past week were Charlotte Roberts, Carla Hearod, Brother Marvin Loftin, James Elliott, Shaun and LeAnna and children and Lloyd Tate. Jewell also visited Lyle and Florence Clinkingbeard and J.C. and Vicky.
Mr. and Mrs. Casey Merrifield and baby Fisher, visited Harold and Kay Hutchison, Sunday afternoon. Casey shared his catfish with Harold, which is always a good thing.
Sister Maxine Lund visited Harold and Kay, Monday evening, Danny and Kim came by Tuesday evening, as did Jim Hathcock. Harold gave Jim a ride back to his house.
Kay visited Imogene Madewell at different times this past week. We were glad to have Imogene at church, Sunday night.
