Oak Grove Church

What an absolutely glorious day the Lord blessed us with this past weekend. Warm sunshine, no rain, at least through our dinner and fellowship period after. He is so gracious to all of us, in providing our every need, we should make sure we take a moment now and then to thank him for all his amazing blessings in our lives.

Our morning message was in regard to the passage in Matthew 24 which speaks of, “the two in the field, one shall be taken, and the other left.” “Two women grinding, one shall be taken, and the other left behind. This is the picture of individuals left behind. Due to individuals, consciously denying the savior.

This week beginning with opening services on Friday the 25th, at 7:00 p.m. will be the opening service at Piland Youth Camp on the 150th Annual Meeting of the Missouri Association of General Baptist’s. The message for the opening service will be brought by Brother Charles McFarland and will follow the theme for this special meeting, which is, “New Paths in Old Pastures.”

The following morning Saturday the 25th, will be our business session which will open at 10:00 a.m. followed by a potluck dinner and at 1:00 Brother Robert Roberts will bring the message from God’s word. Following this message we will be treated to the music of Bob Hammons and Wildwood, joined by Jr. Marriott on the fiddle for some musical worship to the Lord.

After which we will have our communion and footwashing service, officiated by Bro. Doyle Turner. Then we will have the conclusion of business, a short break for refreshment and our concluding evening service with a message from Bro. Henry Cook.

If you have ever been to Camp Piland, or even if you haven’t, we hope you will come and join us in worship services, for the musical portion, or maybe sit down and for a bite to eat. We would love to see you and know that if you come you will be richly blessed.
