First thing Sunday morning, we weren’t sure whether spring had really sprung, or someone, had just tricked us into thinking so. The wind made it “brisk,” to say the least, but by noon, it had warmed up nicely.
Brother Eddie brought our Sunday school lesson on, of all things, “The first Palm Sunday.” He did a great job and then when worship service began, our morning message was, a further expansion on the same subject. We approached it from a different angle, and there was ample imformation for both of us to give a good message. Sunday school was taken from the gospel of Mark, and morning worship from the gospel of John, and cross-referenced to Zechariah 9:9.
Our evening message was based on I Kings 20:40, “As thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone.” Our emphasis being, we tend to get wrapped up in the affairs of the world and become distracted. The Lord Jesus expects to remain foced on him.
We have the program all lined up for the 150th annual meeting of the Missouri Assocation of General Baptists.
