Spring is finally here. The birds are chirping, the frogs are “peeping”, the grass is green, and the reminder of our risen Savior is here. Next week is Easter, what are your plans? Do you plan to tell the children around you what the real meaning is, or will you let them believe it’s all about the Easter bunny laying bright, colored eggs? Us, as Christian adults, are responsible for those little ones learning the truth. If we don’t teach them the truth, the world will teach them a lie!
Wednesday evening Bible study was a general study of the Book of Revelation, and the Bible itself.
Sunday morning we had 59 in attendance. Joe Heitz led Sunday school, using scriptures Revelation 11:1-6, 1 Corinthians 15:50-53, Romans 11:23, and Zechariah 4:11-14. The subject was about the “Two Witnesses.”
Special singing was Bevy Moore singing “I Believe in Jesus”, written by friend Linda Prest, who passed away Saturday evening. She will be greatly missed. Psalm 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”
Pastor Gary brought the morning message about “Humility,” using scriptures Zechariah 9:9 and Matthew 21:1-7. He was speaking of Christ riding in on a donkey (Palm Sunday). He didn’t come in riding in a fancy chariot, adorned with fancy clothes and jewels, and an arrogant attitude. No, He came in as humble as He could.
Sunday evening the youth from the Wright County Children’s Home were our guests for supper and the movie, “To Save a Life.”
Special prayer requests this week were for Walter Gobeli, Joe’s mom, Eldon Bice, Katie Riley, Steve Parsick, Joany Wilson, Brianna Carol, and several unspoken.
Service times are Sunday morning 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday night Bible study at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Gary Moore 417-543-3785/417-683-8106.
To guide your children on the right way, you must go that way yourself.
