This Lord’s Day was about as close to perfect as any we have had this year. The bright sunshine and good fellowship were enjoyed by everyone in attendance for worship services.
Ted and Beverly Cain came to give us a Gideon presentation, and as always Ted did a fine job. He shared a dvd from a recent Gideon convention which everyone enjoyed and it gave us a new insight into the impact that Gideon programs are having, through scripture placement world wide.
We then took a close look at the ninth chapter of the book of John and the thirty first verse in particular, to determine if and how our relationship with God is effected by our prayer life. If we want our prayers to be heard, we must first “believe” in the God that answers prayer. As we are told in Proverbs 1:7, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
We enjoyed a fellowship dinner in the fellowship hall after morning worship service, and “you really should have been there.”
The Lord has begun a revival work in our community and we pray that it will continue to flourish throughout our nation. We need to return to godly values on the state and national level. All the unrest in our nation is a reflection of the lack of godly leadership and direction. Pray for our nation, those in uniform who protect it and for good and godly men to stand up in the public forum and proclaim Christ and Christian values, for this and coming generations.
Next Sunday we hope you will come and join us in worship and fellowship, we look forward to what the Lord has for us to share.
