Mt. Tabor Church

We had a beautiful day for worship, beginning with singing and prayer requests. Continue to remember each one, plus those who lost their loved ones recently.

Brother Ric read from Philippians, with the title, “Moving Forward”. This came from the teaching of Paul, who said, “I press toward the mark of the high calling.” Paul always has a good lesson for our churches, and God’s people.

The gospel band/singing group, The Prodigal Son, will have the service at the 11 o’clock hour this Sunday, please join us if you can.

Our community and church is saddened at the loss of our Sister Mae Cox. She was a faithful attendee at Mt. Tabor, as long as her health allowed it and she will be sorely missed.

Mae’s funeral was Tuesday at Mt. Tabor Church, with a full house, showing what love the community had for her and her family.

Martin Hathcock is still not up to par, but better than he was last weekend. He visited with Tom and Jewell Elliott and Harold and Kay Hutchison this past week.

Ashley Elliott and her friend, Brian, visited grandparents, Tom and Jewell, Saturday, as did Albert Elliott. Saturday evening James and Tammy Elliott had a barbeque with these in attendance: Tom and Jewell, Ashley and Brian, Shaun and LeAnna and children, and Albert Elliott. Jim and Carla Hearod and James Elliott were visitors with the Tom Elliott, also.

Jewell visited with Tom and Donna Nichols, Monday, taking food also.

Gary and Stephanie Mishler, Carl Junction, spent Friday and Saturday with her grandparents, Harold and Kay. They were fishing at the pond, Saturday morning, having a wonderful time, then returned home that night.

Jewell Elliott visited Harold and Kay, Sunday evening. Maxine Lund visited Friday, also.

Harold Hutchison celebrated his birthday, Tuesday, with lots of well wishes from his children, and their families, and friends.

Dan, Kim and Morgan Clements visited Harold and Kay, one day.
