Happy Home Church

Our morning service began with a good morning from Bro. Dee. He asked for prayer requests and there were many. Prayer was led by Bro. Bob. We had the pledges for the flags and for the Bible. We sang for Jesus and gave our gifts for Sunday school with a blessing on them by Bro. John. Sunday school opened with a good morning from Bro. Bob. He brought the lesson from Acts 9:1-15. It was a very good lesson with class comments and discussion. We took up the Coins For Christ and it was time to sing for the Lord. The choir was in good voice and it is just a pleasure to sing the good old hymns. We gave our gifts for the Lord and a blessing on them from Bro. Gregg. We had specials from Bro. Dale and Sister Sharron. Bro. Gregg opened the morning message with prayer. He used Romans 12:9-17. It was a good message. We closed with a song and altar prayer and special prayer for Sister Carrie. God was with us. Bro. Bob dismissed us with prayer.

Our evening service opened with our prayer circle. We had many requests. Sister Carla led in prayer. We sang for the Lord and had specials from “The Plus Group,” Sister Patsy and Sister Peggy. Sister Carla read us a poem. Sister Juanita read us a letter about our church and how it got started and how it got it’s name. It was very interesting history.

We had a question and answer session where we asked the pastor and his helpers questions. Then at 2 p.m. we will be having a special service to ordain our new deacon. Bro. Toby Sanders will be here to do the honors. We are looking forward to this. Come join us for this special occasion.

“Revival Time” begins September 8 and will run through September 12 at 7 p.m. each night. Bro. Nathan Humbyrd will be the speaker. Come join in and get a blessing.

Have a great week, keep God in your heart and you will be blessed.
