Timothy Ryan Sparks, 18

Timothy Ryan Sparks, 18 years and 7 days old, passed to heaven on July 4, 2014 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Mo.
Timothy was born June 27, 1996 in Fairfax, Va., to James Carl and Elizabeth (Imgrund) Sparks.
Timothy was a resident of Ozark, Mo. He had currently been working at Prima’s Mexican Grill in Ozark, where he enjoyed many friendships and practiced his Spanish. He was entering his senior year in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at Ozark High School.
Timothy made a profession of faith in Christ at the age of 8 and was a member of Second Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo. He had received the highest award in the AWANA Program, the Timothy Award.
Timothy had a great intellect and was extremely driven to expand his knowledge. He was involved in Speech & Debate and he was a gifted writer. Timothy delighted in discussing philosophical topics and challenging others to think. He had written an entire novel and a screenplay of which he was preparing to produce. He aspired to attend the University of Chicago to study philosophy and law.
Timothy loved listening to music, watching films, reading literature and playing the piano. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially spending time on his bike and mo-ped. He was currently training to ride in his fourth MS-150.
Timothy organized an outreach titled, “Students Administering Random Acts of Kindness” (SARAK), which reflected his kindness and generous spirit. He was also known for his quick wit and making people laugh.
Timothy was preceded by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Kathleen (McCoy) Sparks and his aunt, Kathy (Sparks) Stewart, all of Ava.
Timothy is survived by his parents, James and Elizabeth Sparks, Ozark, Mo.; his beloved sisters, Katie, Sarah and Rebecca Sparks, all of the home in Ozark; maternal grandparents, Tom and Donna  Imgrund, Everett, Pa.;  aunts, uncles, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Timothy will be Friday, July 11, at 10 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, 3111 E. Battlefield Rd., Springfield, Mo., with graveside following at  3 p.m. in the Ava Cemetery, Ava, Mo. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Second Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Brad Bennett.
