Sunday morning was a beautiful day to go to His house to attend Sunday school classes and worship our Lord and Savior.
When each Sunday school class was dismissed to go to Sanctuary to hear annoucements, watch children do the penny march, prayer requests were taken. Prayer was said over all requests and tithes and offerings by our Pastor, David Welsh. Our Sunday school superintendent, Bro. Lance Stillings and family are on vacation.
We had an opening song, the worship hour was given to “Bluegrass Traditions,” a very good singing group.
Sunday night Pastor Dave used scriptures from II Timothy 3:16-17, “Where words of the Bible came from.” All scripture is given by inspiration of God. II Peter 1:21, “For the prophecy come not in old time by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” We need to be moved by the Holy Ghost. We need to have faith in the Word of God.
Our attendance Sunday at Goodhope General Baptist was 77. Still have several out on vacation and several trying to get hay up.

Danny and Beth Maloney brought me a bucket of green beans Saturday the 5th. We sat at the picnic table and broke them while we were visiting. Matt and Phoenix were here too. I canned several jars of the beans, there isn’t anything like home canned green beans.
Kenny Hunt went home from the hospital Monday after his surgery. He was in the hospital a week. Norma and I were in Springfield Tuesday. We went by his house and picked him and Seth up. They stayed until Thursday morning. Norma took them home and then she drove to Claremore, Oklahoma where she will be staying with sister, Georgia, for several days.
My cousin, Lionel Daughtery, called me last week. We had a good visit over the phone. We are Applegate cousins, Geraldine Applegate was his mother, my mother Mavie, and Geraldine were first cousins. We are planning a trip to some cemeteries later.
The Richard’s place was busy yesterday. Friday, Matt Maloney came up from Forsyth to do a bunch of things for me. The Thompson children, Kinsey, Kailey, and Kyle did the mowing.
I think Tony mowed and cut grass for half of the day yesterday, he has a lot to cut. It sure looks nice.
I met James and Linda Orick in Goodhope this morning. They brought me four gallon of blackberries. Their berries were late this year. My granddaughter Kailey helped me get them ready for the freezer.
Proverbs 15:1-3, A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
