Our Sunday school lesson this week was entitled “Hope For A New Day,” based on readings from Haggai 2 and Zechariah 4. We talked about Zerubbabel the governor of Israel and his roll, in the completion of the temple, in that time. Brother Eddie did a great job of bringing out many pertinent applications for us, from these important passages in scripture.
Then we had a wonderful time in worship service, the morning message from Acts, chapter 4, was entitled, “A Need For Boldness,” taken from verse 13 of this chapter, which says, “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled: and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
It is our hope and prayer that if you call yourself a Christian, that when you witness to people, great or small, that they will see the boldness, and authority in your witness and draw a similar conclusion, that you have been with Jesus.
This coming Friday the 27th and Saturday, the 28th marks the Fifth Sunday Meeting of the Missouri Association of General Baptists, which will be held at True Hope General Baptist Church. This Friday evening service (7:00 p.m.) will have Bro. Dale Roberts as the evangelist. Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Brother C. McFarland will bring the message and Saturday afternoon Brother Roy Simmons will be the speaker.
This Monday evening we tried an experiment called, “Life In a Fishbowl,” if you don’t know what that is, don’t worry, no one else does either.
Come and join us in worship to the King.
