Mt. Zion News

The congregation Sunday morning read Psalms 42 in unison before Pastor Bob Thompson, Jr. brought the message. David wrote, “Hope thou in God,” and then tells us to say this to ourselves in times of scorn, solitude, separation, storm and sword. Ron Arnold from Mitchell, South Dakota, and Norman Murray sang solos.

In the Sunday evening service, Sheena Mahan had a special song. Then Les Welty from Gravette, Arkansas, played a saxophone solo. The Pastor’s sermon was from John 12:24, “If any man serve Me, let him follow Me.”

Twelve members of our congregation went to the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center for a church service at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon. One of the residents, Ron Mallory, regularly attends the Sunday morning service at Mt. Zion. Bill and Jeanette Cardin visit the nursing home each Wednesday.
