Sunday, April 20th, Easter Sunday. We had a good crowd out for our Sunrise Service last week. The sermon was about the resurrection and the blessed hope that we place in a risen Savior. It was truly a wonderful service. Afterwards we enjoyed fellowship as we ate breakfast and then at 10:00 service we took communion. Later the little kids enjoyed hunting Easter eggs on what turned out to be a beautiful Sunday.
Sunday, April, 29th Service today began with scripture read from St. John 3, and opening prayer. After Sunday school, there was several more coming in for worship service. We are so glad for all our visitors and hope you were blessed by coming and will come again. And to bring your children to learn and grow in God’s grace is the best way to show how much you love them. They will never forget the lessons they’ve learned in church. Lisa sang a special song. The words are simply a prayer that could be our own heartfelt prayer each day. Very beautifully sung. We also were blessed by the song Lena sung. I think most people realize that prophecy is being fulfilled today. The young people sang and it’s always a blessing to have our kids stand up and sing for the Lord. Prayer request were taken and Sister Iona was mentioned as not feeling too well. Please remember to pray for our military men and women and for the families who have been affected by the storms this week.
Jerry took the text for his sermon from Mark 10, about Bartimaeus crying out to Jesus. When he called, Jesus was there. It is God’s will that all be saved. You can feel the Spirit pass by, gently calling, tugging at your heart, saying, come unto me, I love you. I will cause your blind eyes to see, and your heart to have no more fear. Faith will make you whole. All you need to do is ask, He is there, arms open wide to those who believe and seek him.
Sunday Evening service began at 6:30. We were blessed with a sermon based on Matthew 25:14. God gives us talents, some more than others, but, each one just as important to God as the other. He expects the same from all of us. To use that talent, for His glory. If you don’t, you miss the blessing. As always, have a safe and blessed week and remember, “If a task is once begun, Never leave it ‘till it’s done. Be the labor great or small, Do it well or not at all.” I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. John 17:4.
