Lela M. Rowe, 72

Lela M. Rowe, 72 years, passed away on May 7, 2014 at her home with Zane by her side.
Lela was born May 22, 1941 in Ava, Mo., to Aaron Troy and Ruth (Scott) Miller.
Lela was retired from working at Emerson Electric in Ava for over 15 years. She was a resident of the Ava community for many years.
On April 11, 1962,  Lela and Hervle “Dean” Rowe were united in marriage in Ava, Mo., and to this union four children were born.
She was a Christian and had attended church at House of Prayer in Thornfield.
Lela loved to watch her cattle and her birds. She delighted in being with her family and especially the grand- and great-granchildren.
Lela was preceded by her parents; her husband, Hervle “Dean”; one brother, Roy Miller; one sister, Patsy Miller; and brother-in-law, Burl Miller.
Lela is survived by her companion of 20 years, Zane Gray, of the home; five children and their spouses, Loena Rowe, Faron and Gina Rowe, all of Ava, Mo., Loretta and Richard Sparks, Dora, Mo., Ferlin and Sarah Rowe, Ava, Mo., and Danny Gray, Ozark, Mo.;  12 grandchildren; 16 great-grand-children; five brothers and sisters, Donald and Jan Miller, Jerry and Glenda Miller, Bill and Evelena Miller, Troy and Carol Miller, Lorene and Jerry Kyle; four sisters-in-law, Linda Miller, Kenny and Jeannie Pierce, Lena and Bernie Hutchison and Zelma and Nuel Cockrum; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Lela will be Saturday, May 10, at  10 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, with burial in the Dobbs Cemetery east of Ava. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Maxine Lund. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Dobbs Cemetery.
