God gave us two ears, but only one mouth. Some people say that’s because He wanted us to spend twice as much time listening as talking. Others claim it’s because He knew that listening was twice as hard.
Hope everyone had a great and safe Easter knowing that Christ lives.
Sympathy to Joyce Overturf family.
Tuesday evening, Gary and I along with Eddie and Linda Sears and Ralph and Dana Brazeal went to Rockbridge for supper on a safety program. I didn’t know smoke alarms could cost $500 each.
Friday, I went to Springfield with our daughter, Honie Johnson, for a doctor appointment. After we ate lunch I needed to go to Jo-Ann’s for a light bulb for my sewing machine. Our son, T.J., met Honie and me there. He had drove to Springfield from St. Louis after flying in from Portland, Oregon the day before. He always visits with friends in Springfield before coming on to Squires. T.J. stayed until Sunday afternoon.
Saturday afternoon, Gary and I went to Ralph and Dana Brazeal home for Easter dinner and their granddaughter, Liviya Wharton’s birthday party. Liviya turned 6 years old on the 18th. After our dinner Liviya opened her birthday presents. While she was doing that I went to hide the Easter eggs. Later, Dana, T.J. and Zamber helped. After the children ate cake and ice cream they came out and hunted the eggs.
Guests for the day were Del, Fanya and Zane Scott; Honie Johnson, Dara Strong, Tabitha, Stormi and Kasey Medlock, Remmi Scott, Tiffanee Brooks and Zoe Shull, Steven Johnson, Howard and Ella Faye Mitchell, John, Zamber and Cole Little, Wyatt and Liviya Wharton, T.J. Nokes, Gary and me.
Oh yes, Friday night, Paul and Honie Johnson and T.J. Nokes had supper with us.
