Brother Leon Turner brought the Sunday school lesson today about Give Work A Rest. Please read Exodus 31: 12-17. Rest is a gift from God for His glory and your benefit. What would you call a truly restful day? Church gives your busy spirit a rest and peace. The Sabbath Day is meant to worship God. Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. Exodus 20:8. Don’t let Sunday be just another day. It’s a day to rest your body and reflect on God.
Pastor Leonard Hart brought the sermon today about Faith and Provision. Please read Exodus 15:22, Acts 5:30, 1 Peter 2:24. When the Isrealites were delivered out of slavery from the Egyptians, they saw many miracles. Can you imagine after centuries of slavery escaping only to be followed by your captors to a sea that you couldn’t cross? When they thought all hope was lost, God parted the Red Sea for them to cross it on dry land! Once across, the sea closed up and swallowed up their enemies. Now they were safe only to be stranded in the desert with nothing to drink. Why do you think God works in this manner? Do you think it is because He wants us to look to Him for provision? In order to look to Him for provision we must have faith. Finally they found water only to see that it was unfit to drink. Get ready for another miracle, Glory to God! In Exodus 15:24-25 Moses asked God what to do. God showed him a tree and told him to put it in the water. This tree made the water sweet and the people were able to drink it now. The tree represents the cross. We are all taken care of under the Cross of Jesus. Jesus died so that we might live. He took on all of our sins at the cross so that we can be saved. There is nothing more important in your life today than where you are going to spend eternity. You can either accept Him or deny Him. You have the choice to choose between Heaven and Hell. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heath, the earth shall also and the works that are therin shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10-11. Please ask Him into your heart today! It is the best thing you will ever do in your life.
Please join us for Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. Worship Services with Pastor Leonard Hart.
