In the Sunday morning service on March 30, Pastor Bob Thompson, Jr., used Exodus 32:21-26 as the basis of his message “The Battle of the Ages.” The same issues of Moses’ day are manifested today. What side are you on? Will you be on the Lord’s side?

That evening at 6 p.m., the regular Fifth Sunday Singspiration was held. It was under the direction of Brian and Donna Sue Haynes.

Vocal solos were by Sheena Mahan, Pete Johnson and Robert Thompson, Sr. There was a duet by Linda Ferguson and Barbara Uhles. An excellent trio number was sung by Kaytlynn Waskom, Dana and Alex Fourman. An a capella song was by Pastors Bob and Cinda Thompson and Dana and Alex Fourman. Instrumental solos were by Anna Cox (clarinet) and Norman Murray (baritone).

Jesse Paxton led the congregational singing. Poems were read by Phyllis Arnold, Wanda Trice, Mary Thompson, John Dale and John Venezia.

A love offering was received for the Eugene Fleming family whose home had burned two days earlier. The offeratory music was by the piano, organ, accordian, baritone, clarinet and trombone.
