Maison Bovard is All-State Basketball Selection

The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association has selected Ava High School senior Maison Bovard as a Class 3 all-state selection in girls’ basketball.
Maison is one of only 20  players in the entire state of Missouri Class 3 to receive this honor and one of only six in southwest Missouri to be selected.
“This is not only a well-deserved award for Maison’s accomplishments on the basketball floor, but also a great recognition for our girls’ basketball program and the Ava community,” said Coach Alyssa Paulsell.
Bovard led the Lady Bears with 453 points this season, averaging 19.7 points per game.
At the same time, she averaged 10.2 rebounds per game, and at one point in the season had a string of 11 straight double doubles.
Bovard was also Player of the Year in the SCA, 1st team all-conference in the SCA, all-district, and was selected to the Reeds Spring Tournament all-tournament team.
Bovard will formally sign paperwork tomorrow (Thursday) to attend College of the Ozarks to play basketball.
