Attendance of 90 gathered in God’s house at Goodhope General Baptist Sunday to worship the Lord.

After Bro. Lance welcomed everyone, he took prayer requests, which were many. We had prayer and we prayerfully listened to a c.d. We sang two congregational songs then we listened to two more cd’s while we worshiped the Lord. Several were at the altar seeking God.

Pastor Dave chose Revelations, chapter 22 – “Our treasure in Heaven.” What a wonderful message. The Holy Spirit was present, we had a young boy give his heart to Jesus, praise the Lord.

Sunday night after good singing and hearing good testimonies Pastor Dave chose Psalm 139, verse 1-8, Matthew 10:30, Matthew 12:36. God knows all about us, what we do, what we think, where we are.

Weekend visitors of Ervin and Lodean Schultz were Scarlet and Katie Cropper of Indiana, Pam and Cody Miller, Steph and Shay Taylor and Sue Brown.

Wednesday Sue took Norma and Kenny some wood, had nice visit. Norma said she hopes wood burning is about over.

I talked to Lynn Clayton by phone. They are moving Larry to the Hospitality House. He took his first radiation treatment today (Monday.) They will remain up there until May 23rd. Larry will get a treatment every day. Keep them in prayer.

Laverne Hall and her brother and sister helped their mother, Edna Hawkins, celebrate her 101st birthday last week. She lives in Sparta with her son, Gorman.

Happy Birthday this week to Zane Robertson and Adam Robertson.

Our revival at Goodhope General Baptist starts Sunday morning with Bro. Nathan Humbyrd.

Friday I went with Rod, Lisa and Kayli to Springfield to see the movie “God’s Not Dead” then went to Ryan’s to eat. From there we went to Lowe’s to look around and Wal-Mart. When I got home I was tired.

Have a good week and remember Jesus loves you.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose,” Romans 8:28.

You’re invited to Goodhope General Baptist if you don’t have a home church.
