Don't Miss

Caney Church

Feb. 26th – Caney met Wednesday evening to study God’s word and to praise Him. Services began with singing. Bro. Hi Lambeth was our leader. He took prayer requests and praise reports. Bro. Jeff Shipley led in prayer. Bro. Hi read I Corinthians 15:42-58. He talked about our heavenly body. We don’t know how it will look, but God says we will have one. It will not be flesh and bone. We will all be changed in the twinkling of an eye. It will be a glorified body. We had a good discussion on this Wednesday evening.

March 9th – Sunday school came together singing praises to the Lord. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. He took prayer requests and praise reports. Bro. Jim Lafferty led in prayer. Jack read Mark 10:46-52 for our devotion.

After a very good Sunday school lesson Happy Birthday was sung to Jack Essary and Rex Clemans. God bless them.

Maddie Shipley sang while offering was received. She does a great job. She has real talent.

Praise and Worship began with testimonies from Jim Lafferty, Jeff Shipley and Hi Lambeth. We then moved on to congregational singing. Singing specials were Melissa Harmon and Jimmy Lafferty. Pastor Bill Austin spoke theis morning from Genesis 41:14. We are going to see the King! Are we getting ready? Can the world see Jesus in us so they can get ready? Life and death is set before us, it is our choice what will you choose? Now is the time. It was a good message. We thank the Lord we had beautiful weather to come to church in.

Sunday evening we came together singing his praises. Bro. Jack Shipley welcomed everyone. He took prayer requests and praise reports. Bro. Jack led in prayer. Sis Ethel Metcalf sang special music for us. Testimonies were given by Bill Austin and Jack Essary. Bro. Jim Lafferty was our speaker this Sunday evening. His scripture was Matthew 28:16-20 and I Corinthians 12:28. Are we diminishing Jesus’ power by doubt? Lets draw from Christ’s strength to witness to the world. We should go to our neighbors and loved ones and tell them Jesus loves them and died for them. We all have talents. We should and need to use them. We are in a lost and dying world who needs to be taught. Are we giving Christ our best or what’s left?

God is good. Come to Caney, you are welcome.
