Don't Miss

Caney Church

January 28 – Caney met Wednesday evening to praise the Lord in song and to study God’s word. Bro. Jim Lafferty began service taking prayer requests and praise reports. Sis. Melba Austin led in prayer. He read Ezekiel 11:14-22. God promises to spare the remnants. If not for the remnant our nation would not be as blessed as it is. God wants to be our God. He loves us and will bless us when we follow His word. Remember II Chronicles 7:14 was some of his thoughts. Everyone read scripture and we had a good discussion and time of learning.

Sis. Melba works with our youth. Tonight they each recited some or all of the Ten Commandments, a very good thing to know. They are a blessing to the church.

Feb. 9 – Caney met Sunday morning singing praises to the Lord. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone to services. He took prayer requests and praise reports. We have lots of concerns and much to be thankful for. Sis. Tracy Shipley led in prayer. Jack read Romans 13:8-14 for our devotion. We need to wake up and serve the Lord.

After a good Sunday school lesson Happy Birthday was sung to Monte Lafferty. God bless him. Charlie Lafferty sang for offertory.

Praise and Worship began with testimonies from Jim Lafferty, Vanessa Mills, Jeff Shipley, Hi Lambeth and Janice Lafferty. Then we all sang praises to the Lord. Special music was by Melissa Harmon, Jimmy Lafferty and Melba Austin. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from Exodus 12:1-12. God has given us clear instructions how to live our lives. Only through the blood will we make heaven.

Sunday evening opened with prayer. Prayer made by Sis. Melba and after some testimonies of a few Bro. Jack Essary brought the evening message from Psalms 40. Sis. Melba read a poem that went along with the whole service. Service ended with special prayer for Bro. Etcel Colter by Bro. Hi Lambeth.
