Pastor Wayne Strohschein commented Sunday, “It hardly seems real that we are at the end of 2013.  The next time we meet it will be 2014.”

“Maybe because I have a bit of nostalgia in me, I like to look back on the year closing and remember some of what made it what it was,” Rev. Strohschein added. “I remember some things I would like to relive and some things I am glad are over and done.  I feel some disappointment that some things will carry over into the new year, unchanged. And as this community of faith we collectively have memories from this past year that we treasure and maybe some we are glad they are in the past.”

“God with us” did not come in a box, a bottle, or a book with explicit instructions for life. God became a man—not a virtual being—and experienced human life full of suffering and death. God   came into the very heart of the human experience, our experience of suffering and loss.

Welcome to worship, in the name of the holy Baby of Bethlehem, our Savior. What a wonderful day to sing Christmas Carols of your choice.
