We were few in number this last cold Sunday morning, but we had a wonderful morning worship service.
Our Sunday school lesson covered the presentation of Christ in the Temple on the eighth day after his birth and the proclamation of Simeon that, “the consolation of Israel had now come.”
The morning message “Peace and Joy” only through Christ, the only true peace being salvation through faith, the only true joy, his presence in our hearts and lives.
Tonight, Monday, December 30th is teen night at Oak Grove. We try to meet with our teen group each Monday evening at 6:30. There will be food, music and tonight we are going to discuss community projects which may help us reach out to our area of influence with the gospel of Christ. Anyone may come and join in this praise and worship.
Next Sunday morning we plan to see what God’s word has to say about a subject which is on the minds of many today, that being “Freedom.” As citizens of this great nation we have certain freedoms, and as children of God, we have certain freedoms, as the Bible says, “Come and see that the Lord is Good.”
At least one section of our Reserved seating was occupied this week, so you may need to come and save you own seat, we would love to have you as our guest.
