In spite of the wind, it was a great day to be in God’s house. We had so many prayer requests, reports on those sick and bereaved, and those in need, continue in prayer, please.
Brother Ric preached a wonderful sermon, using Zephaniah, as his text. It hit the nail on the head with so many of us, the main thought being, complacency. It is always easier to settle for where you are, what’s going on around you, and what problems you deal with, rather than to do something about them. He had some very good examples, showing us how we can become accustomed to the way things are.
We were blessed to have Betty Jenkins, Lenore Burton and Jan Jones as visitors in our morning service. Lenore also blessed us with one of the songs she loves to sing.
Our sympathy to Sister Lisa in the loss of her step-father, as well as her uncle a few weeks back.
Those visiting with the Tom Elliotts last week were James Elliott, Shaun and LeAnna Elliott, MaKayla and Logan, Carla Hearod and Kay Hutchison.
Martin Hathcock visited Harold and Kay Hutchison, Friday.
Harold and Kay Hutchison, Dylan and Morgan Clements and their friend, Daniel, attended the Grizzlies basketball game, Saturday night, in West Plains. They also visited with Harlin Hutchison after the game.
Tom and Jewell Elliott visited with Sam Ellison and Angela Ellison, and their families, Sunday afternoon. They are the children of the late, Bob and Pauline Ellison, Tom’s sister.
Martin Hathcock had his daughters, Jan Jones, and Ronda and Eleazar Soto as visitors Sunday, afternoon.
Kay Hutchison attended church at Girdner Sunday evening. Sister Maxine preached a powerful message about “Hell”. They also had wonderful music to go with it.
Dan, Kim and Morgan Clements visited Harold and Kay, Monday. Morgan spent the night with his grandparents.
