We had no church last Sunday or Wednesday night. So glad to see the weather has let up. It is a loss in my life when I don’t get to go to church.
The morning service opened with Bro. Dee giving us a good morning to all. We had many prayer requests. Prayer was given by Bro. Gene Terry. We had the pledges to the flags and to the Bible. We sang for Jesus and gave our Sunday school gifts to the Lord. Bro. Gregg blessed them. Bro. Bob began the Sunday school lesson from Genesis 10:3-11:9 and Acts 3:1-21 and I Corinthians 14:1-22. It was a good lesson with a lot of class comments and discussion. We sang Happy Birthday to Sister Mary Eaves.
It was then time to sing for the Lord. The choir was in good voice. There is nothing like singing the great old hymns. We gave our gifts to the Lord and Bro. Gregg blessed them. We had specials from Sister Juanita, Sister Peggy and Sister Sharron.
Bro. Gene Terry and his wife, Donna, were here for our morning services. Bro. Gene brought the message from Joshua 3:1-17 . It was a good message which fed us well. We closed with a song and altar prayer. Bro. Bob dismissed us with prayer.
Our prayer circle began the evening service. We had many prayer requests and prayer was led by Sister Carla. We had special prayer for Sister Juanita which was led by Sister Shirley.
We sang for the Lord and again the choir was in good voice. We had specials from Sister Peggy and Sister Juanita.
Bro. Gregg gave us a good message from Exodus 7:10-12, Deuteronomy 23:18 and Job 30:1. A lot of food for thought.
We closed with a song and Sister Kay dismissed us with prayer.
Friday night, January 17 at 7 p.m. we will see you at Skyline for their singing.
Sunday, January 19 we will have dinner following the morning service.
Have a great week, keep God in your heart and you will be blessed.
