Don't Miss

Caney Church

January 19 – Caney came together this beautiful Sunday to praise the Lord and study His word.

Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone to service. He took prayer requests and praise reports. We have so many concerns and much to be thankful for. Bro. Jim Lafferty led in prayer. Jack read Psalms 147:1-11 for our devotion. We are privileged to be able to come and study God’s word. Sunday school is not just for children.

After a good Sunday school Happy Birthday was sung to Vanessa Mills and Harper Clemans. God bless them. Maddie Shipley sang while offering was received.

Praise and Worship hour began with testimonies by Jeff Shipley, Kelli Clemans and Janice Lafferty. We then praised the Lord in song. Special music was by Melisssa Harmon. Special prayer for our pastor and church. Pastor Bill Austin spoke from II Timothy 4:8-11. Do we love the world more than the things of God? Have we deserted God? Let’s be friends of God doing His good work, the reward will be greater than any earthly thing. It is not too late to turn back to God as long as you are breathing.

If you haven’t been with us lately know that we are missing you. Hurry back, praying all is well.

Sunday evening service began with singing praises to Lord. Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone taking prayer requests and praise reports. Sis. Lorrinda led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Bill Austin and Melba Austin. Bro. Jack Essary spoke this evening from Genesis 3:1-5 and 17. Watch out for the serpent of this earth. He will try to lead you wrong. There will be things that come into your life that will not be easy, but if we trust the Lord and His word we will never regret it. There will be a Heavenly reward that will be worth it all. If we follow His word it will get us where we need to go.

So thankful to be in the Lord’s house today. We wish the whole world could have heard the messages and testimonies in our little church.

You are always welcome at Caney, six miles E. of Bradleyville, Brown Branch 76/ W Hwy.
