Brother Leon Turner brought the Sunday School Lesson today titled “Do Over”.  Please read Romans 1:16-17; 2:5-11, 3:9-12.  Have you ever wished you could have a “do over” for some times in your life?  Unfortunately, this opportunity doesn’t happen very often.  Jesus gives us a “do over” at our day of salvation.  We get a chance to begin a brand new life.  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature old things are passed away; behold all things become new.  2 Corinthians 5:17.  You can’t meet God’s standards on your own.  Only with Jesus is perfection possible. Heaven is pure perfection and we will only reach Heaven through Jesus.  Jesus said unto Him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.  John 14:6.  This righteousness that is available through Jesus cannot be earned and is received by believing.  Having faith is believing in Him!

Pastor Barry DeWeese’s Sermon today was about Winning Souls.  Please read Jude 18, Ecclesiastes 9:10, Hebrews 10:25, James 4:8, and Mark 14:24.  We know that we can’t earn Heaven by good deeds.  However, when we are saved by grace through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, He has some very important work for us to do.  You may be the only person in someones life who ever tells them about Jesus!  We can look at our job for Him like running a trout line.  The ends of the rope are anchored with Jesus and we are the bait on the rope trying to win as many souls for Him as we can.  We want a good catch!  When our life on earth is over we want to hear, Well done thou good and faithful servant!

Please join for Sunday School at 10 a.m. and Worship Services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Barry DeWeese.
