We read the story of Zechariah from Luke 1 for our devotional after several prayer requests were given. There is always a great need for prayer. Happy birthday was sung to Peggy Miller, who said she was 60, followed by singing.
After Sunday school classes, we came together. Aaron Humbyrd prayed the offertory prayer as he and Daniel Wilson received our Lord’s tithes and offerings followed by handshaking.
LeaAnn led us in song. Testimonies and praises were shared. Our choir sang. Pastor Neal gave his greeting, prayed and preached from Hebrews 6, the heavenly gift. Christmas is all about Jesus. Satan has done a great job taking that away. LeaAnn dismissed us in prayer. We were glad to have Ron Humbyrd from Pasco, Washington with us.
After some sandwiches in the kitchen, we traveled to several homes in the area and to Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center caroling and delivering fruit baskets.
At 6 p.m., Pastor Neal began with prayer, singing and preaching from Hebrews 6.
Backpack items were collected. Gifts for residents at the Heart of the Ozarks and for our adopted family were collected. Next Sunday, the Christmas dinner and pounding will be for our adopted family. At the 6 p.m. hour, we will do a program of songs.
Tuesday at 7 p.m. is prayer meeting and Wednesday at 7 p.m. is the Christmas party at Doyle and Frances Humbyrd’s. Come and worship with us. You are always welcome.
