Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center

Hello from our home to your home, our home is really alive with all the Thanksgiving activities and decorating for Christmas celebrations.  The trees are up and lit, Christmas music is playing and  children are visiting for the holiday season.

With my going to the doctors and trying to keep up with therapy and our regular Sunday School and

Bible Study and our great singing groups and churches coming with all their well-wishes and family visitors in the halls, it really is an extra busy place-but we all love it!

No one can say we are all just a bunch of fuddy-duddies!

I’ve been helping Connie with the wall-calendars and bulletin boards–it the beginning of a

new month–and –the last month of 2013.   Yes, the year is drawing to a close.  It seems to have passed so swiftly.  We have laid to rest quite a few residents this year.  Many dear friends have found peace.  It comes to all of us.   Connie is busy this time of year and especially at the first of the  month.  She plans and puts up wonderfully decorative large calendars in the hallway and at least 4 large bulletin boards with dozens of pictures she has taken of our residents in the activities. These

have to be taken down and all the staples removed–this is a job I can do for her because it is really a time consuming job and one I can easily do.

Our Annual Family Christmas Dinner is December 23rd  at 11:30 with the residents Christmas party to follow at 2:30.  Santa Claus will be arriving with Mrs. Claus.

We would like to invite you to visit our home and enjoy all of our beautiful trees and room decorations.  Perhaps, we will have lovely Christmas music playing softly to add to your enjoyment.  Do come!  I’m sorry if you can’t come, but our hearts wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year for 2014.

We would like to send our prayers and sympathy to the families of Virginia King, Elva Irene Richards, Mack Miller and Vester Harris.  They will be missed around our home and the family members as well.

We would like to welcome new residents to our home, they are  Paul Smith, Rosa Dye, Jean Nute and Virginia Crites.

The church schedule for December is  December the 8th —Goodhope Nazarene— December 15th—Ava Assembly of God—December 22nd  Skyline Full Gospel and December 29th  Gentry
