Mt. Tabor Church

After prayer requests were taken,  Brother Martin read the devotional, followed by prayer by Sister Hellen. We have so many to pray for including our country and our leaders, that they make good decisions on our behalf.

Brother Ric read from Titus, with the subject being, grace. (the unmerited favor of God). We don’t deserve all of the good things He does for us, so we should be eternally grateful for His goodness and mercy.

Our Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner will be Dec. 8, right after the morning service. We would be happy to have any join us that don’t have a regular place to be.

Martin Hathcock and three of his girls, Jan, Kim and Ronda, were out Thursday, in memory of Mary Ann’s birthday, Nov. 14, visiting the cemetery, and many of their friends: Tom and Rosie Harris, Jack and Peggy Armstrong, Bill Mathews, Larry and Lynn Clayton, Blair and Pam Kargas and John and Jo Stephens.

Company for Tom and Jewell Elliott this past week was James Elliott, Shaun, LeAnna, MaKayla and Logan.

J.C. Hall and Jewell Elliott attended the funeral for Betty Sutton, in Mtn. Grove.

MaKayla Elliott and Breeana Hathcock’s team, took second place in Bible Quiz Bowl this past weekend in Seymour. Congratulations to both girls, keep up the good work!  Jewell Elliott got to attend the contest, also.

Ronnie and Pat Lansdown got to spend Halloween in West Plains with Jadon and Kayley, while Doug and Kristie were working. They enjoyed helping the kids greet the trick or treaters.

Pat did errands for her mother, Myrl Cox, and also did some housecleaning for her. Myrl has still not fully recuperated from her bout with shingles and a back set with them, also. Jeanne Cox and Paul Cox also visit their mother often.

Kay Hutchison visited John and Jo Stephens, Friday. Jo is making good progress, hopefully will soon be out and about.

Morgan Clements spent Friday night with Harold and Kay Hutchison. Dan and Kim came to pick him up Saturday night.  Martin Hathcock visited the Hutchisons that evening, also.
