Our Sis. Naomi Stephens was back with us Sunday. We were so glad to have her back with us and we got to sing happy birthday to her!
This Sunday night we will be having a singing and testimony service and fellowship afterwards with refreshments. So if you have a song that the Lord would like for you to share or a testimony come on down at 6 p.m. Sunday night, Nov 10. We welcome everyone to come.
Our prayers go out to those who have lost loved ones this week. Sis. Lena Pierce went home to be with the Lord this week. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sis. Maxine preached from Jonah Sunday morning. I have heard this story many times, but never had it brought in this way or thought about it this way. It never ceases to amaze me how the Lord can send a message so many different ways. She spoke on a man on the run from God, but he could not hide. Jonah was running from God, but he couldn’t hide in the boat, or even in the belly of the fish. Neither can we hide from God, He is always there waiting for us. So we must choose to be obedient and do God’s will, or be disobedient and do our will. Obedience will always bring blessings and disobedience will bring burdens. Just as satan provided a ship for Jonah to be disobedient he will provide a way for us to be disobedient. Lets choose to obedient.
Sunday night Sis. Maxine continued in the book of Job 13 and 14. If you don’t have a church you attend on Sunday night, I’m sure you would enjoy the way Sis. Maxine is bringing out the messages from Job. She spoke a few weeks back how Satan and God were in a war and Job was the battle ground. Sometimes we are the battle ground. God and Satan may be having a battle. That 1st verse in chapter 14 says a lot. We are born of woman, of few days, and full of trouble. I’m thankful when this life is over, if we do God’s will we have a promised eternal home awaiting us where there will be no battle grounds, we won’t have to be be concerned with being obedient, our race will be run, we can just enjoy the presence of the Lord.
Please come and join us, Sunday morning at 10 a.m., Sunday night 6 p.m.. and Wed. night at 7 p.m.
This Sunday night, singing, testimonies, and refreshments and fellowship.
Remember, you may run from God, but you cannot hide, he will be waiting for you.
