Eastern Gate and Around the Mountain

I know it’s been a while since I have written. We had our fall festival at church and I think everyone had a great time. They had a trailer full of riders as they went on their hay ride, and a nice day for the ride. They came back to church and Deanna and Erica had games ready for the kids to play. The adults helped with the games and did lots of visiting. We also had lots of food to eat.

I think the last time I wrote I had told you how long it had been since I had been able to talk or sing. I have to tell you my husband found a good cure for me. He took me on a trip to Hawaii. I am cured, I can talk and sing. It was a wonderful vacation. I love to go and see all the wonderful places that God has created, but I do love coming back home to my family.

We attended the revival at Garrison a couple of night this past week. They had a good crowd and good preaching the nights we attended. Our crowd was down a little Sunday, but we had a good service.

We are working on our Christmas program and stayed after church to have our first real practice. I think they did a good job for being their first time to go through the play for real. Roger is definitely going to have to start learning some lines. Now I hope everyone starts making plans to come see this play. Not to give too much away, but Roger has a solo part.

This coming weekend is our Thanksgiving dinner at church. It will be Sunday night. I can’t believe that it is already here. Next thing you know I will be announcing Christmas, my how time really does fly by.

As you make your busy schedule, pencil in the things that you want to do, but in ink put in the things that you need to do. Keep God first, make time for your family, these are things that really count.

Take care and keep warm.
