Ava Kiwanis Club Officers Installed

Division 18 Lt. Gov. Don Truitt, of Mtn. Home, Ark., was in Ava last week to install newly-elected officers of the Ava Kiwanis Club. Pictured from left above are, front row: Elaine Sorenson, Connie Cornelius, and Donna Dixon, secretary; and Denise Reese. Back row: Greg Thompson; Gov. Truitt; Glenda Little, president; and Diane Taylor, treasurer. Not pictured is Vice President Rick Baker.

At last week’s meeting, members welcomed Division 18 Lt. Gov. Don Truitt from Mountain Home, Ark., who came to properly install this year’s officers to their duties.  Although several were out for different reasons, those present enjoyed visiting and taking pictures.
On Monday, Oct. 28, Glenda and Rick attended a Key Club meeting and took pizza to the students.
We don’t expect guests at this week’s meeting, so we will have time to catch up on some of the things we have tabled recently.
On Monday Nov. 4, Terrific Kids will be recognized at Ava Elementary.
To schedule a program you think would be of interest to our membership or to the general public, contact Donna Dixon.  For other information concerning our club, visit and “like”our Facebook page by typing “Ava Kiwanis” in the searchbox.
